ON LANGUAGE AND CULTURE
2-time Grammy winner, multiple Native American Music
Award winner, composer, performer, actor, farmer Robert
Mirabal of Taos Pueblo, whose first language is Tiwa,
talks about how language is related to culture, place, and
community and how without community, there is a
domino effect that can destroy culture, including the all
important element of language.
​
Robert recently wrapped a co-starring role in the film ROAD TO EVERYWHERE
and is currently scoring the soundtrack for the 4-part HULU series tentatively
titled Ring of Fire: The Life of Annie Mae Aquash.

Upcoming Feature Film

2-time Grammy nominee and NEA Heritage fellow, Iraqi oud
maestro and composer, Rahim AlHaj has been tapped to
compose the score for the Iraqi feature film The President's Cake.
On top of that, he was cast in a pivotal featured rolein the film
now shooting on locationin Iraq!
